Run Dry impellers?

Has anyone tried running the "Run Dry" impellers? I have Crusader 270's with what I believe to be the sherwood E35 pumps and was thinking of trying the Globe run dry impellers. Any opinions?

The only time I worry about the run dry aspect is during winterizing when I am feeding antifreeze into the sea strainers and is is hard to keep up with the pumps.

Thanks for the info.

I have no intentions of running them dry it is just when winterizing I cannot pour as fast as the pumps pull the antifreeze from the sea strainers. I am sure the pumps do not get dry but are just not fully flooded at times.

anti-freeze is a lot more slick than water and as long as you don't let it run too long, you should be okay. at least that's my take on it.
