I am in the market for a 13 meter Trojan and I have noticed this model has been equipped with 6V92T Detroit Diesel. I don't know much about Detroit Diesels, does anyone have experience with the performance of these, reliability, lifespan, etc..
Any comments would be appreciated.

I have never had one in a boat but i do run one in a big truck pulling heavy hual rearly never under 80,000 pull loads up to 130,000 all over the country did do a inframe early but i do have one million and 300948 and still ticking knock on wood have a friend with one going on 3million miles on it the only thing i dont care for is the intectors seens like i go through more of them than other people do but would change a thing just keep on top of maintance and she hasent never let me down.I did a inframe on mine at 528000 for i had some adnormal ware in two cylenders they said from pulling heavy i did replace my head a year a go it was cheaper to replace than rework and got a clean bill of health i would go for it if it was me .
