I decided to replace every thru hull in my boat. I wasted 20 minutes on the first one trying to remove the hose and unscrew the nut so I went to "PLAN B". I had a large "steped" reamer bit that I got from harbor freight ( http://www.harborfreight.com/2-piece-ti ... 96275.html). I went around the outside and reamed every thru hull about 1/2 through the flange being careful not to go too far. then I took a small putty knife and a hammer and easily popped off the outside flange on every thru hull. I then used a nut driver that was just smaller than the hole through the hull to "punch out" the rest of the fitting. I removed every thru hull in my boat in about 30 minutes.
