I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer, sorry. I think my 1987 10 meter mid cabin has reverse rotation on the starboard engine? not tranny correct? The machine shop asked me and I wasn't sure so I told them I would get back to them.

Thanks

Starboard engine is reverse rotation.

Only one way to be sure in case things have been changed; crank engine or check firing order.

I was pretty sure it was the starboard engine but I figured I'd ask.

Thanks

A few years back I was on 2 Trojans they had the reverse turn engines on the opposite sides , one boat was a 10 meter flybrige aft Cabin the other a 10 or 11 meter flybrige sedan .

I do believe I'll have them confirm the firing order.
Thanks

Hey Todd, the starboard side is the reverse rotation motor. Had that one rebuilt last year and in the process of doing the port/standard rotation one this year. The firing order for the reverse motor is: 2-7-5-6-3-4-8-1.
Take care, Mike.

The machine shop should be able to tell by the camshaft as they are different for LH. RH. rotation
