A friend of mine recently bought a mid-80s F32 that needed to have one engine replaced. The seller was asking $14,000 and he purchased it for $10,000. Hope that helps.

Honestly I would be surprised if you could get 7,000 to 8,000 for it. Sounds like a lot of soft spots and needs 1 engine.............not good on his end to make good selling points. It would be nice to see some one buy it to bring it back to its original glory, the proper way.

Worth fixing to keep but don't think it would be worth it to fix up and sell .

He would never get his money out of it if he did that due to the economy. Now some one that wants these 'old girls' that would restore it right, it would be a deal! Have you tried to get both engines running yet? If so why do you say it may need an engine? Improper winterizing, low compression or you are just guessing on info given to you by him?

The sad reality is an F36 at my club, with two running motors and had already had a lot of coring redone sold for $10,000. I purchased my signature boat with two running motors and only some gunwale and floor hatch bad coring and paid almost half of that number. These older boats in need of work are selling for penny's on the dollar now.

the old saying goes, it's worth what some is willing to pay...in cash. Thei bigger question is, is the boat worth keeping... slip / storage fees, insurance, etc. a low price may be higher than you see on the surface, when you get out from under the monthly costs.
I sold mine in the mid 20's in one day... paid less than 10 and stuck a LOT of time but very little money in her

I got my 73 F32 for $100 and sold the old swim platform for $80 so it stands me $20, some soft spots on the bridge, useable but not right, rear deck is pretty good and the rest of the deck. Had one bad motor previous owner tore down in the bildge, came with a good/used FWC motor and im actually almost done with the motor swap myself. I have more in beers working on it than the boat cost me thus far
