Wiper blades

Who uses what? I gotta ditch these shitty blades ASAP. Right now they are standard 16 inch marine blades with the acorn nut type attachment. Total junk.

Anyone have any thoughts on the largest blade that will fit on there? Its A LOT bigger than 16" thats for sure. Its like looking through a peephole when it rains. Worse yet, around here it likes to snow on me when I am fishing once in awhile.

If you go much longer the end will hit the window frames , besides thats why they have a fly brige so you can see better .

The orginal blades on my 81 f-32 were 16". Longer blade more stress on the wiper motor.

Friggin' naysayers.

I'm putting 20 inchers on there. If that still sux I'm going to pantographic.

Not everyone who single hands is as nimble as Paul and can get up and down that ladder when there is a strike. ;)

Just look at the blade sweep , to see if you can clear the longer blades . But I will still stick to the upper helm , perhaps your out of shape ?

I needed all new motors arms and blades.

I wanted to maximize and get the biggest I could fit.

If you contact the guy below he will calculate everything and give you a quote.

Don't buy direct from them though, too expensive, go thru defender. :D

I agree Michael. Would like to upgrade to those myself one day. Just be careful, there are units out there now that will last all of two seasons. This is one of those areas where I would not skimp on quality even if it hits the pocket a little more or they'll quit at the worse possible time and you'll be doing it all over again.

I got a nice set of 3 articulated heavy duty blades. They are 20 inches. They fit great, and better yet, they actually work. I got a chance to use them a bit already. Its been kinda crappy here this week. Likely 22 inch blades would be the max that would be allowable on a stock 321 motor and arm setup, but 20's will work excellent if you adjust the arms to the right length.

I like this a lot better than what I was dealing with before. Enough that I'm going to live with it for awhile. If I should come upon a nice set of pantographic arms I will probably still pick them up. I'll just put them to the side though and save them for when I need a rainy day engineering project.
