F36 Keel Leaking

I have an 86 f36 – Last week when the boat was pulled for the season and blocked, I noticed some damage to the aft end of the keel (where it was supported last year). I had the yard support the keel clear of the damaged area so I could repair it. The fiberglass appears soft and there is some water leaking out in this area (I would guess from the bilge). The keel is slightly flattened on the bottom and soft in an area about 5 X 5 inches. Anybody have any ideas on this?

I wonder what happened? In any case, if there's a place to have a leak that's it. I mentioned in here recently I know a guy who cut open an access to the keel(from bilge), filled it with pieces of wood then topped it off with resin. That'll fix the leak!

What you describe could either be damage from structural overload while on blocks or osmotic water damage. Either way, you need to cut it out and fix it.
