Hell when I'm done mine I'd have to sell it for twice that to break even! LOL
Its a shame to see Mark sell it after all that work . Must be moving on to another project.

It takes a special skill set to accomplish what Mark, Todd and others here have accomplished.
Whoever ends up with her will have a one of a kind.
The market however, for mid sized 30 year old boats with 454 engines is exactly what it is.
When I bought my 33 over 10 years ago, gasoline costs were between $1.60 - $1.85/gallon.
Insurance was also far less.
As time goes on, brand new boats will become more expensive, however the supply of 30+ year old boats will increase.
I believe we will see (if we haven't already) a trend towards smaller vessels with less initial cost and far less ongoing operational, repair and maintenance expense.
Good luck to Mark, sorry to see him jump in and then out with both feet.

This boat is worth every penny. Let's see, $30k for a completely rehauled 10 meter, with a full liner system. Add 2 new lightweight yanmars for another $70 to $80k. You have a brand new, completely updated, and very cool diesel boat for around $100,000. Tough to beat that.
Only thing that could beat that is to have the whole thing documented. Oh yeah, got that too.

the thing about these refits..... and I speak from experience
re: my own refit of all systems including HVAC, engines to props, plumbing to sanitation....
is that you end up with a virtually NEW boat from a mechanical systems perspective.
Fact is that I could not get a NEW 33' Diesel boat for what I have in my 10 Meter.
