1989 10 meter steering issue

I have a 1989 10 meter, and the steering isnt working. Hydraulica are fine. How do I get at the guts of the steering wheel under the dash?
Any ideas on what is wriong? It is a hydraunic system.

I split this from the manual topic as its a different problem and that was a year old thread .

Also I recommend you post more info on the problem .

I had the same problem this spring. Reservoir had plenty of fluid but I got on line and googled Hynautic steering and followed the directions to bleed air from the system and now it works as good as new. you will need a small bicycle pump or some sort of air pump. total time 20 minutes...

check the pressure gauge on the resevior. sometimes the lose pressure while sitting. happened to me one spring . bike pump and bleed system. its really easy to do. make sure you have a friend to turn the wheel while you turn the bolts, much quicker with 2 people. also check your fluid level while your down there
