Window Frames

Does any one know how the Plexiglass slider windows and screens come out of the frames on a '78 F-26? These are the windows on the sides of the cabin. The Plexi is in rough shape and I'd like to replace it without removing the frames from the boat if possible.
Thanks in advance

Paul-I'm going to try this from memory-I've done it but my boat is currenlty in storage (in limestone mines north of Pittsburgh) so I can't access it to look at the design\to refresh my memory.
Looking at the assembly there is a metal piece in the center of the frame that runs vertically-it serves to hold the fixed piece of acrylic in place. You can remove that piece-it is screwed in, once that piece is out the acylic pieces, both the fixed section and the slider should come right out. New pieces are easy to fabricate-either on your own or by a plasitc fabricater. My sliders always "cloud up" due to rain run off from the top of the cabin-but I use some of the plastic scratch removers and cleaners (Nova I believe) and after treatment the acrylic looks new-at least until the next couple of rains.
Hope this helps-once that center metal mullion is out it is easy to pop the clear sheet out.
