They where still making 3 wood 31 foot Trojans in 1971 along with a 31 foot glass F31
Wood
31' sea skiff
31, sea voyager
31' sea voyager sedan

glass
F31

The sea skiff was a lapstrake hull ( plywood lapstrake )

The sea voyager was a plank hull .

In early years the had some plywood hulls in the 30+- foot range

What is the hull ? lapstrake , plank or plywood ?

Crack in transom ? Can you describe it ? Could it be a seam ?

What is the question on A/C ?

The last year for wood was 1974. After that it was all Tupperware.

Thanks for the wood boat info, prowlersfish and 1967 seavoyager; after much reading I've decided to go back to my original plan and seek out a nice F28 if possible. Don't need or want anything bigger and they just look so... well proportioned. So now i'm gathering as much info as I can. This is the fun part.
