Need to replace a fuel pump on my MCE 6.5KW. Looks like Onan number is a 149-2159. Price is ridiculous. Looks like others have used a Carter P60898. Now I know there is a difference in marine vs automotive and don't want to cheap and stupid. Anyone have experience here? Sure looks like the pump I need. $300 difference and I gotta ask the question at least!
Thanks!

Thanks! Haven't seen a Facet that looks quite like mine. The Carter is a dead ringer though.

The pump should be a very low pressure pump if not using original one and they are out there.

i've been looking at the ensign on ebay and it looks like it's a newer version of the mcck. it has the same rpm and opposed cylinders. looks a lot beefier too, especially the manifold and exhaust mixer system. i wonder if it weighs the same.
interesting thread.

Called local auto parts store. The Carter is indeed the cross from the original. My guess is Carter manufactured the pumps for Onan. Got one on the way.
