Bottom Job and More

Over the last couple weeks I have made a lot of progress on my 10 meter. Had a crane come to the marina to haul the boat out on July 3rd. There is no travel lift at the marina I am at so me and a neighbor split a crane to haul out my boat and his Mainship trawler for bottom jobs. Spent all of the long July 4th weekend cleaning, scraping, sanding, scrubbing, etc. Here is what she looked like when she came out:

The bilge has been absolutely nasty since I purchased the boat so I spent a good amount of time cleaning out sludge, grease, and other crap.
Before:

After:

Running gear was cleaned up with a wire wheel and props were pulled for refurbishing:

New thru-hulls were installed:

A barrier coat was applied, then a couple coats of Trinidad 75, and the hull was cleaned and waxed:

Upholstered cushions from the cockpit were removed and my girlfriend made it her project to re-upholster them. You can see the new ones in the last pictures. Here is how nasty they were:

Props came back from the shop on Tuesday, July 16th just in time for launching on the 17th.

Launch day (yes this made me nervous):

And what was all this labor and expense for you ask? Well.... here are the results:
My friend Will and his red snapper:

My girlfriend and one of many sharks we caught:
