well I got the bug and some time to climb back in and chip some more. I was able to get the flybridge windshield done and had it installed this afternoon. I while waiting for the canvas guy managed to get down below and tie up some loose ends. first was the front bulkhead bout 8 hours into it and have it now checked off the list. Moved onto the steps and installed the carpet allowing me to check three things off , Only another hundred and I might even enjoy a ride out of her

thanks for the comments. As for the hardwood floor mine is an engineered hardwood "santos mahogany" this way I can replace pieces as needed due to scratches/dents ect. .
The Mrs helped up with the cleaning after the bulkhead and used furniture polish on all the wood including the floor and now I have an ice rink down there ! three years into a full blown gut job here. Friends /Neighbors keep asking how come your doing all of this work when there isn't even a motor in it ? My ans is if I get this thing running and in the water I'll NEVER finish it . working backwards to the engine assures I'll get mostly everything buttoned up before I'm able to lastly insert key and hopefully enjoy the ride.

I agree start with non mechanics, I did it the other way around and now have a boat, albeit it a different one, on the water and running. Have many surplus parts from first boat which will be dissected and buried on my property. But am a happy camper now.

Well got out of work early yesterday and got some more accomplished . had the new Trojan sticker but had heck of a time getting the raised gel coat flush due to the old sticker being there so long. I used wet/dry paper 400 grit and was able to get the surface flush to prevent anything of the old sticker telegraphing through the new. then installed some cork on the wall beside the cabin door, dressed it off with some hemp rope.

today weather permitting I hope to get the dashboard on the flybridge done. have enough left over formica from the galley table and and cabin window casings to cover it for free.
