Air conditioner and fuel guage

Hi everyone, just my 2nd post. My new to me 1989 international 10.8 meter has a couple of issues. The salon ac ( lunaire 16k btu ) is inop. There is no power to the compressor. Is there anything common I should be looking for? Also the fuel guage is stuck on empty. When I remove the wire from the sending unit and ground it the guage goes to full. Seems like a bad level sender. Anyone have an idea where I could get one. thanks

On the A/C are the fans coming on ? check all your breakers If its just the compressor not coming on the it could be a low charge or a bad press switch or even a thermostat .

On the Fuel gage it sounds like the sender . Beacon marine may have what you need .( sponsor of the site )
