I would suggest 10k minimum to 12.5 range. You are looking at 8k empty.

Original Documentation for 1971 and 1972 state a weight of 5300 lbs and I think that's bone dry. You should add a factor of safety to that. They get heavier over the years. How far to the water over the road?

No more than 10 miles on secondary roads.

The 1971 manual lists a dry weight of 5,300 lbs. Add 6 lbs. per gallon for fuel and 8 lbs. per gallon for water. You'll also need to account for any equipment on board. If you PM me your email address I can email you the 1971 information.

Wow, I wonder what changed in construction? I know my FB adds some weight, but I am over 7,000 empty. I have some core issues on the foredeck and port side deck, but could I be holding 500 - 1000 pound of mositure there? 75-83 brochure lists empty weight of an express at 6,000.
Anyone who has had moisture issues, please " weigh in" on this!!

They are talking about a different "26" but I have included the specs for your F-26
