wondering whats what in the engine hold

The thing with the wire is an old transducer, mine had two just like it, wood cut at deadrise angle used to keep the transducer verticle.

great thanks , now that transducer I assume is just held in with epoxy? does it go through the hull? would like to yank it and scrap it . With a river system here its useless to have a depth finder as nothing here slopes up easy. its all 50-60 ft and then BAM 3ft !!! I know everywhere I'll be eventually taking this boat and know what the deoth changes are anyway . thanks again for the input

It is through the hull, probably not epoxied but for sure sealed most likely with 5200 or some other 3 m bedding compound. Just cut the wire off, back the nut of and wiggle and pry out. If you are going to have a transducer through the hull it will have to be faired to match the deadrise of the hull. It will not read correctly unless verticle.

Agreed that the item with the cable is likely a tranducer. Undo the nut and you should be able to twist and push it out. The seacock in front of it looks like it may be for an overboard discharge for the head/toilet. If you're going with a portable toilet, you can remove all the hose, seacock, and the dockside pumpout deck fitting. The other large seacock on the port side looks like it would be the raw water intake for the engine. The seacock in front of that with the folded hose could be a water intake for the head/toilet though I would have thought it would be on the same side as the head where the discharge hose and seacock are. Other items that would require a seacock are an air conditioner and a generator. Short of removing the mufflers to inspect for broken off shutters or baffles, there's not much else you can do but visually inspect the outside of them and look for tears or signs that the rubber may fail soon.

Unless you buy one with an adjustable head. More expensive but much easier install.

My guess would be that this one was to feed a raw water washdown system. My F32 has the thruhull and a short section of hose, and the faucet installed in the cockpit, but a previous owner has removed everything else in between.
