I want to get them.
any recommendations and where do I get them.
I would like to see what my most efficient speed would be also what would be the difference of running just one engine while cruising vs two.

I did a lot of shopping and decided on the Garmin GFS-10. You tie it into any NMEA-compatible chartplotter and not only do you get flow rate, you get miles per gallon and miles until empty. I have the Garmin 760s (I think). I have two GFS-10 flow meters. With each flowmeter you also get a tank level output sensor, which is how you get the miles to empty data. I (will) have one level sensor be for the fuel tank, and the other for my water tank. I say will have because I haven't installed them yet. I might do that soon, because I suddenly find myself with about 60 extra free hours per week.
Garmin also has a NMEA 2000 tutorial on their website that is worth reading.

I will look them up.
I have a garmin 3210 on the lower helm and a 3006 on the upper station.
they are networked so if I can I will hook it to the lower unit.
If not then I have some shopping to do. Both my tanks say 3/4 and I didn't fill them up when I came to shumway via the port of Oswego so I don't know how many gallons I burned going 20 MPH almost all they way. I will have to wait until the spring fill up to fine out.I arrived after they were closed and they wanted her out the first thing so in the slip I ran her and winterized her and pumped out all the water and had them pump out the head.and away she went. She's inside now and I hope I can do everything before it gets to cold rather than wait until spring.

Floscans are a good choice. Outside of an initial issue, mine have been flawless for three years.

ok-on the back of both devices it says power/nmea so does that mean I can use the garmin flow meter?
Maybe I should call them monday and find out.
