I picked up a set of these yesterday at the Annapolis boat show. thought I would show them to you guys since I have never see anything like them before. I went with the P shaped handles and picked them up for $238 including tax (boat show special) . its a Very simple but sturdy design. The kit comes with two handles and two mounts. the handles have a clip that locks them in place , when your done they simply unclip so you can stow them away. I'll post some pics after I install them. I am also going to try to purchase a third mount so I can use one as a boarding handle to get on and off the dock.

the one on the left is a lil skimpy, which suits me well.
The one on the right seems to be a bit sturdier, might be able to handle some hard use.
On my boat, either one would be used on a regular basis.
And the swim platform handles are not too bad either.

It always comes back to Mary Anne or Ginger.

If the seas became rough, I think they'd both take a pounding.....

Too funny...But on a serious note, I failed to find any specifications on the product's website as to the material used for these. I assume it's stainless, but what grade and wall thickness? They seem a great idea and useful add-on if they are sturdy enough to hold up.

Yes it is stainless. I was told 316 at the show. it appears to be plenty strong but ill know better after i get them installed and hang on them a bit. The mounting plates are pretty long to accommodate thicker platforms. Im going to try to come up with a way to hide/cover the mounts on the underside of the platform. Heres another pic
