Working on being optimistic!

Merry Christmat and Happy New Year to everybody!
As some of you know I got sidelined from my renovation project after my dumb ass fell while working on the boat back in august and tore my shoulder apart. Well not a lot has been accomplished since then. Got operated on about 2 weeks ago and have another 4 to 6 weeks of recovery to go.
So I'm with my family down the beach at my in-laws this week an we drove to the marina I was planning on keeping the boat in the spring. i inquired at the office and they still have a bunch of slips available. My wife told me that I'd better "get her dam boat in the water this year"! Been working on revamping my renovation plans to reduce the schedule/wishlist time line by the 4-5 months that I have been laid up. My have a slight "snowballs chance in hell" of pulling it off if I postpone new upholstery, rebuilt trannys (worked when I pulled her) and 15 to 20 other things that could be done in the slip that aren't safety related. Could just be the pain meds but I think I may have a chance?!?!

Your wife is right!
Approach some friends who like boating-fishing and ask for their help with small projects. Tell them you'll never ask for gas $$ in the future and will have plenty of cold beer on hand when on the water. Every Spring I have several friends asking to help me.

Let me add : Don't give them the Beer first nothing will get done and you will be out of beer .

Unfortunately my friends only show up if they can have a beer in their hands the moment they walk in the door! This leads to an extremely short amount of productive time!
I can probably get more done with my one good arm !
