Happy New Years all, and good luck to the New Trojan Boat Owner of the Year!

We have had Summer like weather in So Cal the past week so I decided to polish as wax the green section on the hull of the boat, I had to opportunity to use an open 60' slip near mine so I was able to complete both sides of the boat and get a little run in and pump and flush the head. Thank again Commodave, the vacu-flush is awesome!
I also got a little paddle boarding in this weekend....

Thanks Todd, much like the F-32, cleaning up the little stuff makes a huge difference.

Glad that the head is working well for you. We are looking at the river right now. It is very white... About 10" of snow and lots of snowmobiles running on the river. With our move from Tucson and getting settled in here, I have not been able to work on the F32 since July. However, I hope to get it in the water this spring and having it docked at the house should make it much easier to get the work done. It is in a huge barn for the winter storage and it is all the way in the back so it is difficult to access during the winter. I do plan on doing some of the DC wiring that needs to be done since I can carry the electrical tools to the boat easily, just not any large power tools. I do have power available so I can run a small heater to make it workable inside the boat. We have a 54' dock being built to dock the F32 and our 22' Triumph. Also having a dinghy dock built on one end so we do not have to store the dinghy on the swim platform all of the time. So far we are loving living on the river here. Get to play with my new toy, a snowblower.

Sounds like the move is turning out to be a great thing, my wife and I are very close to being empty nesters and we are contemplating selling our bigger home and moving to the Coronado Cays, where we could also have a dock out of the back door, I'm not sure I'd give up my slip at CYC, but it would be nice to have the boat in the back door, I think the projects would move a lot quicker!

By keeping the boat at your back door its less of a getaway . so you may not use it as much . I have seen the happen more then once where I am at . Folk buy a condo at the marina and the boat sits .

Paul, agreed, that's why I don't think I'd give up my current slip, but it would be nice to occasionally have the boat right at the back door during projects, especially during winter when the days are short.

Very nice! Boats in the water here wouldn't survive this time of year. Really thinking we should move a bit closer to the Equator! A few hundred miles would make a big difference.

Well, we lived in Tucson before moving to Au Gres, MI. To use our boat from there was about 150 miles towing through the mountains over 4000' mountains which were actually uphill both ways... Our large boat was in San Diego which was 420 miles each way. I think that having it 50' from the house will enable me to use the boats more than when we lived in Tucson. We used the Triumph more in the one month here before it got cold than we did in Tucson in almost 2 years. If we can get the F32 in the water next year, we will use it quite a bit. Also, I can be perfectly happy just having the boat in the water and being on the boat either relaxing or "working" on it. I love to work on boats and usually tear into them more than is actually required, but to me that is what I enjoy. Next year, if I am able to get it in the water, I will probably spend most of my time working on it. That counts as usage to me, even if I do not get underway.

Dave, totally agree with boat projects, I keep telling my wife our next boat will be new or almost new, she laughs and says , yeah right, you'd be bored to death !
