Well, The boat went in on April 1st. Engines and generator passed the compression tests and everything is powered and running. We are heading down for the sea trial tomorrow. Small craft warnings and all. Wish us luck! 8K in escrow and I hope I don't need to use any of it. I'll post pictures later this weekend. I am very excited and doubt I'll get much sleep.

Well, It went well. The only "major" items were expected. Exhaust risers and elbows were all bad and there was a leak in the transmission where the shifting linkage goes through the casting. The sending unit on the starboard engine was reading high, but the engine was running at the right temp, and compression checks were all within range on generator and both engines. We spent our first night on the boat Saturday. It's going to be a great summer if it ever gets here..... I posted a couple of short videos on youtube titled "Sea Trial 4 April 2014" Thanks for all of the support. I'll post more vids throughout the summer.

Hi K - Congrats on your new ride. Just watched the You Tube videos you posted.

First night on a new boat? Priceless.

Good luck with her, have fun.

Still a lot of snow here and so it'll be a while before we're boating, but like they say, "all things in good time"

Cheers

Rick

Congratulations, I have the same boat. 1988 F-36, bought her in 2011. Mine has been repowered with 1996 Mercruisers. Your video made me feel like I was at my helm.
Good luck.
