Need some experienced opinions---- when reassembling would you use just the o ring,o ring and sealant,o ring and gasket or just the gasket------- my pumps do not have the end plate as they came apart---- too many choices in the kit,I know this kit fits other pumps and these do have the o ring groove---- maybe some overthinking but----Mike

a picture would be helpful, but if there is a groove for the o-ring I would just use the o-ring by itself. I used just the O-rings on my G5s. O-rings are pretty good methods of sealing. My backhoe used fittings with groove on one side and flat on the other, and holds thousands of pounds of pressure with a single o-ring there.

In reality how much water could really leak from behind the cover plate if nothing were there. :)

Thanks for the response Larry----I believe my pumps are the G5---I put them together with just the O ring, just that I saw some other alternatives and was wondering if anybody had found a better way of doing it ---Mike
