F32 Survey Went Well

Had the survey done Wednesday and the boat passed, what a relief. My biggest concerns where the electronic ignitions that were installed , alternators that were rebuilt and the stringers, all ok. One off the blowers needs the air hose replaced, swim platform needs refinishing, no soft spots on any off the decks, walkways or flybridge. This boat has been kept in a covered slip for the last 25 yrs or so. I am not nieve enough to think that there will be no problems but all in all the boat is fantastic. Gave the owner a deposit and when launched will do the water test, but that is the easy part. Also the owner bought a manuel for the boat, it has every thing needed for up keep, all serial numbers for trannies, motors, all electrical diagrams, the works. The first page is of the original bill off sale from Trojan and who it was sold to, and dates shipped, it was originally sold to "Shepherd Boats" Located on "Niagara on The Lake", then sold it to "Norman Clarke Yacht Sales". The original price was $39,157.50. This book cost the owner $190.00. A nice piece of equipment to have. Can't wait for launch day hopfully late next week or the following week.Last night when my wife got home the first words out of her mouth was how did the survey go and with a sad face looking right at her I told her GREAT, thought she was going to kick me in the NADS. Wife is very happy and is already thinking of ways to "Boat It Up" A.K.A decorating it. Hope I can post a couple of pictures I have.

Looks good... I notice you are missing a fin on the aft vent Port side.
Someone here was asking about how to repair one, was it you? If so here is what I did.....
I had one broken on mine and took it to Connor Industries in Parry Sound (they make Stanley aluminium boats) and they were able to form and spot weld a new one into my existing vent.

Thanks for the replies. No Ready123 I did not ask about replacing these vents, I did see this broken vent and the surveyor pointed it out to me, but i must say your very observant, I have 4 vents off of an older 30 ft late 1960 wooden trojan to replace it with, if they fit my plan is to either have them rechromed or paint them white. The name on the boat is going to be removed just not to sure of what name we are going to call her.

Maybe we should conduct a poll on here, regarding the new name.
