has anyone used git-rot...got a crack in the deck..water got in...32 321 flybidge

git rot is not a real solution, only solution is remove rotted area and replace.

I've used it, it's basically fiberglass resin, didn't help the 2 boats I tried it on, can't really firm up a void when the wood rotts and turns to dust, I'd imagine it would be good for transom repair. A friend filled a void in his floor with pure fiberglass resin, that worked well and cheap

There are quite a few Trojans in my marina and have been following these folks. I sent an email but have not followed up on a return call from them. Don't know costs but if you had any other vessels that would join in for some repair, it may well be worth it at a group rate.
Pretty cool how they evacuate, dry and inject the material into the core, deck or stringers.

What I got from reading through them and some additional research, this is a good system for wet balsa coring, but once the wood deteriorates, you need to replace it. At that point, you could use the Dryboat system on the surrounding wood that is wet but still structurally intact.

This job is on my list for both the flybridge and foredeck, hopefully in limited areas...
