Hi Guys,
A few months ago, I fell in love with the 36’ tri-cabin fly-bridge. I don’t know what it is. I just love the boat. Anyhow, I went to see a few but they are all too far from where I live. As such, if I do buy one, I will need to have it transported to my local marina but I am missing a bit of information to get a proper transport quote.
I would appreciate if someone could give me a definite answer on the following dimensions of a 1975 or 1976 36’ tri-cabin fly-bridge. I have not been able to locate this info on the World Wide Web.
-The total beam of the boat. Is it exactly 13’? In Ontario Canada above 13’, an escort is required and this will increase the cost of land transport.
-The height of the boat. I believe if I can get the “package” below 14’ I am good to go. If not I will need to remove the fly-bridge?
Any help on this would be most appreciated.

I had my 1976 Try-Fly shipped from Midland to Goderich about 6 weeks ago. The beam on the boat is exactly 13', with a dry weight of 15,500 lbs. When loaded onto the hydraulic trailer, the boat was the same hieght as the stacks on the truck, which I believe was around 13' high. However I guess that would also depend on the trailer. I would send you a picture if I knew how to do so.

Thank for the reply. Was that with the fly bridge windows and railings removed?

Nope. I did not need to remove anything. All that I did was take the top down and make sure that everything was strapped down good. They were able to launch it off of the trailer as well. That was nice because it saved me $450 for the lift fee.

Make sure the mover has a lowboy hydraulic trailer and you should be fine.
