Nav lights

Now that I have my nav lights fully functional I noticed an unusual, I think, occurrence. Had them on while returning back to port at dusk thought they were on, but I found out when I close the electrical locker doors it pushes the switches back in turning nav lights off. Wonder if Trojan designed it that way. Anyone else had that to happen? I have an F28.

Mine has 3 pull switches on the right, water pump, bilge pump, nav lights.
When they are pulled out they are flush with the locker edge but the door is hindged outside of the locker frame, kinda like a kitchen cabinet. With the door closed you probably slide a quarter in there if lucky.

I wonder if the switches were replaced, the new ones may have a longer pull shaft?
The mounting panel screws to 1x1 strips that look like they have enough room to be moved back, now that you are bringing this up I guess I need to be thinking about if the switches need to be replaced is it really going to be that easy.

The currant pulls have a flat head on them,I can see if a replacement was domed it would cause a problem.

At least you have nav lights,I have one so far.

Thx, pretty sure mine original and are flat to domed. Maybe they are adjusted out too much. They work fine. DC locker is easy to open two screws top and bottom and it comes open for access. I have extensive time spent in both DC and AC lockers, my AC locker now has a subpanel and now have lots of breakers. I have a salvage f28 that I took the second breaker box from, prowlerfish suggested it and it worked great, looks like original design.
