Port holes on 10 meter

It is my understanding the number of port holes on 10 meters is 3 on port side for express and 2 on port side for mid cabin. The 1986 10 meter I just purchased does not have a mid cabin, but only has 2 port holes on port side. Am I missing something or just confused as usual?

at some point they dropped the portlite in the port side closet.

This resulted in three on starboard - (one in the head, two in the salon)

and

two on the port side - one in the galley, (one in the salon)

THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO THE MID CABIN VERSIONS

I have a 1981 10 meter International. 4 port lights on the Port side, 1 in the closet, 1 in the galley, and 2 at the couch.
4 port lights on the starboard side, 1 in the head, 2 at the sette, and 1 in the v-berth

Thank you for the replies. There are more variations than I thought.
RWS, what is difference on express and express cruiser ? Any idea?
Flyboy, is yours express or mid cabin ? Or maybe express cruiser?

I had forgotten that the early production 10 meters had the 4 portlites.

Basically the same thing.

The BIG difference was between the earlier Express based boats and the later Mid Cabin design platform.

There are numerous differences in the design, interior layout and engine placement between the two.

Aft cabin models were only built on the Express based platform.

Sedans, (Convertibles ? I do not know the difference ) were built on BOTH platforms.

1985 here, and I I have 3 on the starboard, and 2 on the port. No window in the locker on the port side.

What platform was it Based on ? BTW you would be surprised how much room they have . ( except the engine room that is very tight)

any and all aft cabin models have to be based on the original design, as the mid cabin based models feature the engines and genny farther aft.

The engines on the fly - aft seem to be kind of aft as the have a lot of shaft angle . I have not compared ( measured ) where there at but looking at a friends out the water the first think I notice was the shaft angle . Its a neat boat surprised they did not make or sell many .
