Turning off inverter

I was wondering how inverters are wired in. I have an older 30amp 3 bank inverter. I have searched for a way to turn it off, but the only thing I have found that works is the main breaker. I have 4 120v breakers in my panel, 2 are for receptacles, 1 each for microwave and refrigerator. Is this common or should there be one for the inverter. I do not want to turn off the whole system to turn off the inverter.

Thanks

I suspect you're talking about the converter or charger. There proper way is for it to be wired to its own dedicated breaker but it's pretty common to find them piggy-backed to a receptacle circuit.
