10 Meter Express Canvass

New to the site, and a new Trojan owner. I bought the fire damaged 10M that was on Ebay in December. I am happy to say it will not be a parts boat and is currently getting its Fiberglass repaired and paint right after. Since it is in the shop I am taking the opportunity to update all the upholstery in the boat since it will be in the shop for about 3-4 weeks.

The trouble I'm having is the canvass was damaged by the heat from the fire and during the insurance auction process someone decided to toss out the canvass. My upholstery lady could have used that as a template. Now she could go out to the boat however that wont happen until the weather breaks here in MI, and it is more costly. I'm hoping another 10M owner out there has an old canvass they would be willing to loan me as a template to make a new one. I will gladly pay whomever for it as a deposit for a safe return and cover all postage. I am not sure if it makes a difference for the canvass but I don't have a mid cabin.

Any and all help is appreciated!!! :)

In Chicago, $500.00 and it's been for sale for some time. You may be able to use the glass and recoup cost.

Welcome to the forum brandonwbn! You will get great help here. When you ask the inevitable questions, a picture of what you're talking about is always useful. Good luck with the rebuild.

Congrats on the new Boat . As far as the canvas ,IMO you much better of having the canvas shop measure it to the boat . That's the only way many shops around here will do it

Thanks guys! I'm really excited to get her together. I will post pics as I get them. I bought the canvass from the guy in Chicago and they are in good condition. So depending on how good will determine if I use them this season or use them as a template. I will save a grand by using them as a template so either way i will come out ahead. I budgeted to have a new set made and even ordered new fabric already. But as we all know things never seem to as planned with projects like this.

Of course we are interested in pictures....

Have you considered starting a thread like Todd's http://www.trojanboats.net/wforum/viewt ... f=1&t=5681? Might be interesting to keep everything in one place.
