I want a boat that both my family and a guest family can have a nice day on the lakes with. Can 8 or 9 be comfortable on this boat? 4 adults and 4 kids.

Even a 32 would almost be a tight fit with 8.

If putting around a small harbor at no wake speed maybe , but it could be crowed .That's a lot of people in a small area as nobody will want to stay in the cabin and bow riding is a no no . Running at speed or chop it could be dicey and unstable as people move around . If this is your regular cruse plans you need a bigger boat .

1000 lbs
You have to be careful of shifting weight. Four adults is comfortable on mine.
Six would be crowded.

+1. Four adults is comfortable. Four adults and two children is doable but crowded. I wouldn't advise any more than that. If you want to take 8 people, I would recommend a 24 foot cuddy cabin. My previous boat (24 foot Four Winns Sundowner) was very comfortable with 8 people aboard. It was not nearly as comfortable to live on, though.

4 adults for just hanging around on it, and 6 adults if simply heading to a destination like a restaurant.
