The other on the port side next to wheel.
Which one goes with the shore power, off, gen. Switch on the panel?

Are you sure port is power?
i have 2 30 amp ports on the starboard side, right next to each other on my F32. My port side waterproof outlet is telephone.
Not sure about tri cabin, but my ports look identical from the outside (cover )

I brought shore power in on the stbd side via a pigtai which is plugged into a extension cord which goes to yard power.
In the shore position the breaker trips. In the off/gen postion. I have power. There are two red lights on. One constant the other intermittent. I can hear a low humming noise. I think it batter charger. I have no power at ac outlets or lights.
Soliciting all the info I can...

Good idea the pigtail jack seemed loose.
Any ideas what red lights indicate?
Does anyone know if the box is enclosed?
I'm getting a lot of moisture from window above.

Reversed polarity .I beleve red staying on is reversed polarity . But I would have to look at my Trojan book to be sure , Mine never worked right ,so I made new ones with 2 colors , green is ok and red is not .
My box is inclosed but not the same boat of year

I believe these are the same guys I got a replacement main breaker from (Air Pax 30A 3 pole) a few years back, to replace one that went bad on my '79.

Update on power. Turned out had a polarity problem on a extension cord I repaired. Now fixed and have power. Battery charger works. Warm weather has deck drains working. Batteries have been pulled to see which ones are salvageable. Any ideas on my next move?

Just for the record, my 84 tri-cabin has two 30 amp connectors on the stern starboard side. You can use only one and combine the plugs if visiting where not dual 30 amp service. I checked and both are the same phase, in other words not two 120v phases (equals 220v) but the same phase leg, it allows double ampacity to 60 amp. However using the circuit combiner switch on boat to only one 30 ampacity.
