All,
My original Jabsco diaphragm pump finally gave up the ghost. Has anybody been successful with replacing it with a standard "cheaper 125.00" shur-flo, jabsco, 3-chamber diaphragm design type pump? I believe Trojan put the self-priming pumps in due to them having to pull suction from the fiberglass molded tank that lays between the center stringers. The specifications for these standard pumps states they will pull up to 10 feet but not 100% sure if they will pull a 12” below vertical direction. Please advise!
Best Regards
Butch I.

I have replaced my FW pump several times. So far my last pump has lasted with no concerns. I mounted it with shorter screws on top of the wood panel above my water tank. Mine is a 5 or 7 GPM model, similar to below, with no pulsation and water flows like household flow.
