sealand Vacuflush pump FYI

After completely rebuilding my entire vacuflush system and replacing virtually everything ,I decided to try it one last time before launching and the vacuum generator motor seized up. I looked at the motor and called around to order a new T-12 replacement pump since it was on the label on the motor. I found a place that expedited a replacement pump for me. the new $360 pump did not have duel duck bill valves on each side but looked the same otherwise so I installed it so we could get through the holiday weekend. i could instantly tell that it did not have the suction of the old pump. we made it through the weekend and I did some research today. turns out I was sold a tw 12 pump that is used to empty fish boxes and pump out holding tanks (macerator). According to the guy I spoke to today sea land never made a a vacuum generator pump with a t-12 motor. apparently the previous owner created his own "bastardized" pump using a different motor which was not designed for the vacuum generator. that explains why Ive replaced the bellows twice. I just ordered the correct "S" series pump for another $490!
on a side note , here are a few pics of the seized motor. I actually was able to clean it up. replaced the disintegrated brush springs with springs from a pen and got it working before I realized it was the wrong one!
