Am considering moving up from my F31 to a 1974 44 motor yacht.
1. Does anyone have line drawings for a 1974 model's various configurations?
2. Does anyone have comments for or against this model?
- are there known problems to look for or expect?
Thanks!

- also, is there a subsection of the forum devoted to the 44?

Gas (440 Chryslers) or diesel (Cummins)? Nice boat. Teak decks can be an issue, rot, leaks, etc. Values are very low these days.

I have a 74 F-44. I contacted Brenda at boatingwithdawsons.com and she sent me original floor layouts and price sheet for my model. I will try and locate and post on here.

I bought my 1976 F44 motoryacht in 2000. It came with its original 454 Mercruiser gas inboards.
In 2002 I repowered it with Cat 3208Na diesels, new Twin Dics 2:1 transmissions, 24 x 20.5 props, northern lights 7.5 kw, new gauges, tanks and controls
In 2002 it wqas imroned from bridge to waterline and the wheelhouse roof and main salon roof we re cored.
It is a great boat which has performed very well. When I repowered my fuel consumption decreased 50%.
1978 the boat changed completely including shape of hull. I prefer the 1973 to 1977 models

There are 6 F44 FBMYs within a 10 mile radius of downtown Toronto, Ontario. One is not in the water, is for sale and needs work. The others are all active.
My only concern is that my 1975 has a few cabin leaks when it rains, but I'm chasing them down. Seems to be the salon windows, and the aft portholes. I found a liquid sealant that flows and then sets and that is working quite well. Other than that, it the boat is tremendous.
