Just the norm for a boat that age . look for soft decks check the stringers . Get a survey . a older boat will have some issues and you have to expect that .

thanks for the reply. How do I go about getting a survey? I do expect some issues and am not concerned to much with interior stuff since Im a carpenter by trade. Im more concerned with its worthiness. Do you know of any notorius problems associated with there houseboat models.

You do not say where you are looking at this boat . If your in the upper Chesapeake bay I highly recommend Butch Immediato . ( I can get you his contact info ) If not Look at the SAMS web site also you can look at the boat us site
https://www.boatus.com/insurance/survey.asp
Surveys are not cheap but can save you a ton of money in the long run and you may need it to get insurance anyway .
