Mid cabin wipers

Because the mid cabin uses the same windshield as the Express, the sight line at the helm isn't ideal. On the express, the cockpit floor is lower so the windshield appears to be a lot higher, more like a Tiara. Having three monstrous wiper motors at the top doesn't help matters. After seven years I decided to remove the port and center motors which really cleans things up. My math was, the factory setup bugs me 100% of the time so I'll cash that sentiment in for the .02% of the time I really "need" three wipers.

In the process, I eliminated the use of the windshield frame as the "ground" (bad idea). Since running a dedicated wire through the base of the arch and up the windshield frame (the factory route) is a small project I re-used the existing 12v + wire from one of the old wipers. I left one capped in case I change my mind at some point in the future. In the DC locker, all I did was move the old feed (#27 or 28 center wiper) and connected that to the ground busbar. I labeled it and upgraded my wiring diagram for the next guy. I make it a habit to document all of my wiring changes.

It's always been a little slow even with a new motor but it's much faster now with a good ground. I epoxy filled the shaft holes on the windshield frame. The canvas covers those. On the inside, I got rid of the hard plastic trim a long time ago. Instead I'm using self stick rubber truck molding so you can't even tell.

BTW, I have two basically new (2 years old) wiper motors and wiper arms (also new) if anyone is shopping

I have a 10 meter express that is missing 2 wiper motors. I could use them if they will work on the 10 meter international. PM me if they will.
Thanks
