Hello all
Purchased an F32 end of October , looking forward to the spring . This boat has Mercruiser (Ford Small Blocks) I have had Mercruisers(GM)) and Crusaders (GM) in the past I know nothing about these Ford engines . This is my second Trojan I had a 1967 31 Sea Skiff Express Cruiser many years ago
and a 67 Egg Harbor 37 for a long time . Should be nice to be in a Fiberglass boat. :D

Welcome!

Two questions:

Is that a water heater in the engine room?

Is it ignition protected?

Great looking boat! I'm envious of the hard-top you have on there. Was it installed when you purchased?

If I didn't have a conscience I'd have snagged the hard-top from the F32 that's several slips down from us already. Apparently hasn't been touched in years. Anyway we're on the lookout for one.

I had a 75 F32 that had 351 Mercruisers and I loved them! Simple and easy to work on and parts easy to find. After having boats with Chrysler's and Crusaders I would take those Fords blocks anytime.

Trojan used MerCruisers for a couple of years because there was talk of a worker strike at Chrysler so Trojan was afraid that they would not be able to get Engines

Glad to hear. As you do your learning, feel free to ask your questions here. We's good folk.

Nice score on the F32. I'm in a similar position of learning about the Ford blocks after years of Chevy blocks on Mercruisers, Volvo Penta, and Crusaders. What I have learned is they are torque monsters that are hard to find parts for in the marine world. Treat them right and they should last you a long time. I've got a friend that raced Ford blocks at one time. He knows them inside and out, making his knowledge vast and very valuable. If you get stuck, give me a shout and I'll get you in touch with him.

Easy to get parts for the 302 and 351w used by Merc , the 460 used by OMC and Chrysler , not so easy on some marine parts .
