Great find! I know that I have some work to do to get to the point where I'm satisfied with my Trojan, but for the most part I'm pretty happy with it so far. We purchased it in 2010 and have had some good use, but there are a few things that I'd really like to change / sort-out. I know that the PO w...

Can you inform me how or the best way to do that? I can tell you how I did it, although others may have some concerns.... We had a very warm spell without rain, so I opened up all the windows and the front hatch. I put a fan inside the cabin below deck and let it run for a couple of days. My only b...

If you are considering replacing the whole deck - be prepared to be in-it for the long haul. It's not a small task to take on - it can be done - but it's a lot of work. I was at that cross-road with my sea raider..same issue... I figured that so long as I could dry it out effectively and re-seal it,...

Looking for "Trojan" Nameplate
Hi All, Just giving the "Golden Girl" a facelift and some minor repairs for next spring. Looking to find where I might find a seller of the plastic nameplates that are located on either side of the cockpit. Any sources that make re-pops? Or any used ones out there that anyone is willing to...

Check that last post.. The thermostat is also screwed! I have called around today to try to find one and everyone speaks to me as if I am from Mars??? in the end I purchased an automotive 170 deg. thermostat and disassembled it for the bi-actuator...took apart the old thermostat and replaced the bi-...

Thanks to all. All sounds like good advice... but I may have figured it out (I hope).... I went out today to change the thermostat and proceeded to take apart the by-pass and flow-thru hoses from the thermostat housing. The by-pass hose (that goes directly to the exhaust risers) is completely deteri...

Thanks to all who replied. John - very nice! We had our maiden voyage bringing her home this past weekend. A few gremlins but nothing toooo serious. Really like the look and layout. Very comfortable compared to our old aft cabin Doral 24'. My wife and I are already talking about a couple of trips fo...

Raw Water Cooling Pump What Model is this?
Hi All, I need to order new impellers for my 280 HP Chrysler. I can read the name on the raw water pump (Sherwood), but I cannot make out the model number. Are all big-block Chryslers D-55's? Can anyone tell me what model I have from the pic in the link below? http://home.cogeco.ca/~hotrods/trojan.h...

OK.. I was reading this thread and just had to chime in... We just picked up our 30' Trojan that we had purchased from the west side of Lake Simcoe. We headed out..once we got past the speed zone (up the Holland River) I brought her up on plane. Shortly thereafter I saw the temp gauge go up past 220...
