1987 10 meter mid cabin complete restoration.
Hello everyone. It has been a few years since I posted on the site. I am knee deep in a total restoration on my 10 meter. I found out the stringers were completly rotted out from the limber holes never being sealed at the factory. I began the project about three years ago. the stringers were cut out...

Davescars, Thank you very much for the info. Fixing that is on my todo list during my refit. I did the flushball about 3 yrs ago. If I recall correctly you remove the plastic boot around the base of the head, it just snaps off. theres a metal clamp that holds the bowl onto the base. You remove the c...

RWS, I have the vacuflush also. Have you ever removed or replaced the pressure switch on the acculator tank? If so was it difficult? Since day one when you fliped the toggle switch for the head the vacuum pump will just run nonstop. I've replaced all the duckbill valves and the gasket and flushball ...

Replace the impellers! On my boat its easier to take off the pump assemply to work on it. I think its 2 bolts and a fan belt. If you are missing any of the vanes off the impellers (the rubber fins) you need to find them as they can create blockages in the heat exchanger. Its really easy to do. The h...

RWS, I just figured after 21yrs It was about time to rebed everything. I figured if I was removing everything to rebed it I might as well repaint her. I thought about wet sanding the hull and trying to work with the origional gel coat as its not in bad shape but I'll never have her apart like this a...

Thanks guys, I tried the heat gun and putty knife with no luck. I couldn't tell if the stripes were a decal or paint. I didn't want to try to sand a decal and make a mess. If their painted it sounds like the sander would do the trick. Bret, What type of paint did you use? I was leaning towards Awlcr...

Removing Stripes from Trojan International.
Has anyone removed the stripes from a Trojan international? If so what's the best technique? I'm going to be preping my boat for a new Awlgrip paintjob so I plan on sanding everything. I was under the impression the stripes were decals that had a clearcoat over them but when I tried to remove a piec...

You will not be able to get to it through the aftcabin. That is the rear of the tank. the supply is on the side towards the bow. If you just have carpet on the floor you can cut a small access hole and reach the supply fitting and hose. You should have a drain hole at the keel on the structual bulkh...
