neutral switch

i just replaced my transmission cable on the strbrd 318 engine on my 73 f-31. but it won't start even when i jiggle the shifter control when in neutral. where is this switch located ? dean

Dean,
You can check the switch by simply by by passing it. Just remove the two wire going to the switch and connect then together using a small bolt. If it starts its the switch, if not check the started. PS don't leave the wires connects, its a huge safety issue.
