Welcome, Goran. We have a 1977 26 and added 340W of solar panels to the hardtop this summer. They really work well and keep our batteries charged when away from shore power. We spent a few months in Croatia on vacation and found it to be a wonderful country. We were in Zagreb and then took a bus down to Split where we got on a boat that took us on the Adriatic to Korcula and Hvar, which were wonderful islands. The water was so clear and great for swimming. Cheers, and welcome to this great forum. You can get many good ideas and advice from the members here.

Oh, almost forgot, our perfect time in Dubrovnik, where we walked the wall and had supper with a farm family in the countryside. First time I tried homemade walnut brandy. Oh so tasty!! Lots of good memories.

Personally I don't like crowded places summer time , I escape with my wife on islands ( have my secret spots )
I pass on ready ton of treads , but can not find information I am interested and this is original propeller size for F25
This winter I must change propeller , well I know best data is current propeller for tuning
I buy here originals specks and all other documents for F25 but no propeller data to mach
Well I should start new tread for this
Prowlerfish i see you are quite active here , any interesting post I open ( and I open them a lot till now last week)

My original prop for my 1977 F26 is 14 X 9. Power is Chrysler Marine 318 cu. in. 225 hp. @ 4000 rpm. Top speed at WOT is 21 mph with just me, flat calm water and empty water tank & waste tank. Hope that helps.

Re: Regards from new member
I believe the prop from Trojan was a 14x10 RH . I will look it up later . However hat is not relevant as y ou have been repowered with a diesel and maybe a different gear ratio too . Are you trying to find the right prop ? Having issues ?

Re: Regards from new member
Well with this prop I newer had satisfactory results , 3300 max rpm / gear original 1:1 ( no space for change)
Engine WOT should be 3900
Well over the years I also add good part of load on board
Honestly I am not shure what is now on after so many tuning / repiching . Will check with prop shop during winter
Anyhow this prop now is not in good shape any more and now I am planning to buy new one , this time "good one"
I know that original prop size is not relevant now, but like to know for compare reasons
Also when you say 21 MPH , is that nautical miles per hour = KNT , or ?

Re: Regards from new member
What is the HP of your Volvo ? My info shows the KAD42 ranging from 204-227 hp and as a I/O . I assume you changed props when you repowered as you have a normal turn engine (LH) and the boat came with RH turn engines . MPH would be miles per hour .
Make sure you check your tach with a photo tach .

Well look like I must be precise wile talking to you
KAD42P 227HP props are changed , and yes you right LH in now
miles per hour =MPH i know that
but which mile ? nautical mile
If is nautical mile then MPH=KNT

Re: Regards from new member
Usually, people here are careful to use MPH for miles per hour and Knots for nautical miles per hour. Not always though, so good to ask...

Re: Regards from new member
I will try to be clear and precise . MPH is Miles per hour not nautical miles per hour .
Knots or Kt or Kn :The knot (/ nɒt /) is a unit of speed equal to one nautical mile per hour, exactly 1.852 km/h (approximately 1.150 78 mph or 0.514 m/s). The ISO standard symbol for the knot is kn.
km/h: 1.852
Symbol: kn or kt
Unit of: speed
Unit system: meteorology, aviation, maritime
As far as props go a 14x9 or 14x10 ( both oem sizes ) would be real close as your HP and RPM are very close to the 318 many came with , assuming you did not add a lot of weight a 14x9 with cup would be IMO a good place to start , with out knowing what you have now .
