bugs are gone-new problem

Post by chumwithabottleofrum »

well it looks like Ive taken care of the stink bug problem. Now I face a dead refrig. It's a Norcold DE 400 A. I believe it's probably the origina frig-WTF-it only lasted 30 years!-(if that is the case its a testament about their quality) Does anyone know the dimesnions of that unit?

Thanks

Not entirely sure on this, but I think the replacement is the Norcold DC-490, which measures 30-7/8" H X 20-1/2" W X 21 - 7/8" D - cutout size:
30-7/8/" H X 20-1/2" W X 20 - 1/8 D.

I just copied that out of the West Marine Catalog. THis model seems to be the closest one to my original Norcold (1977) in the mightly Blue Heron.

Thanks Randy-I probably won't go back to an ac\dc unit-just AC. I don't spend enough time away from shore power to really worry about it-or justify the cost difference.

My Norcold just gave up the ship too. I am like you. I am not away from shore power enough to need a DC one. I found one at Sears that is about the same size to replace it with. Work's just fine.

I have a 28 ft Trojan docked on Catawba Island in Onio. Would like to hear from other Trojan owners in the area.
