F-32 Shower Drain...This makes the 3rd Question

Post by Tuck »

Sorry, I knew there was something else I needed an answer to...

My shower drain is draining painfully slow. The pump is running, but the drain appears to be clogged (I assume the pump is okay). My question is this: What can I use to unclog these pipes, if that's indeed the problem? I've not used the normal methods, i.e. Liquid Plumber, etc, because I'm not sure if the pipes, which I assume are original, could handle it.

Advice, please.

Thanks again.

lol

Ya know. I feel just about retarded. I dunno why I didn't think of a snake before making the post.

Guess that's what I get for trying to sneak a net-run while in the office.

Tks. A snake it shall be. Although, I don't think Glenda's has them. lol

My f 36 has a screen between filter ( screen ) and the pump near the pump . you may want to check that .

mine was draining slow once and I checked that little screen at the pump. It was packed full of sawdust from when I sanded the cabinet and <somebody's> nasty pubes. GROSS

tks guys! once again, you guys come thru!

i found the pump, and sure enough, found a small filter in the line. took it out, and the screen inside was covered with gunk thicker than michael jackson's media coverage.

took it outside, took it apart, cleaned it, stuck it back in, and wala! drain works better than it has since i've had the boat.

now, on to the next issue i can hopefully tackle myself...the placement of the transducer.

tks again guys!

For Future reference I have plunged mine before and loosened up the junk in it to get it flowing again.
But then again, my shower pump hasn't worked in a couple seasons. The Belge has been taking care of the job. I have a new pump but just haven't gotten around to replacing it yet.
