Starboard engine not turning on, what could it be?

Recently replaced the batery charger and last week both engines powered up great. I went to turn them on again the other day and the starboard engine wouldnt budge. Checked batteries and they were fine.

When I turn the key it wont even pull, give that buzz or anything.

Could it be the key ignition switch that is broken?

Maybe check to see that you are getting power to the ignition..that's where I'd start...check for power on down the line..could be something got "nudged" when you installed the charger? I'd also check the fuses for the charger. Mine has both negative and positive lines fused.. not sure why, but they are..

Do you have electronic ignition? My mechanic left my port side engine ignition switch in the on position and burned out the module. Is there a chance that is the problem?

Have you checked the breaker in the console? Mine has a breaker under the console cover for each engine and that may be tripped.

Have someone hit the switch while you put a volt meter on the starter.... no power = check back up the circuit to the switch. If you have power you get to go buy a new silenoid or starter.... (hopefully just a silenoid for $9.)

i had an occasion when the gear lever was just forward enough that the neutral safety switch kept the boat from starting. no click no nothing, the lever looked like it was in neutral but when i moved it ,it wasnt. spent a lot of time looking for a problem when there wasnt really one. so for sure i check that every time now.

If all electrical from that side is dead its likely a wiring issue. If only starting is disabled its probably someting to do with neutral start switch or related wiring. Do gauges for starboard engine register when you try to start ? If so, you have power.

G36 has a good point. I had the same situation happen on my starboard engine. The shift lever looked centered but in actuality was just a slight bit off-center and the engine would not turn over. All of the gauges showed normal readings but it just would not turn over.
