74 Trojan
Maybe a dumb question to some, but my fuel gauge is reading backwards , as fuel is used it shows fuller.... Also I have two fuel tanks and have a knob for Reserve which tank does this come from?
It sounds like either the guage or the sender have been changed. In 1974, the standard gauge and sender worked opposite of todays "standard" units.
So if one unit is replaced (sender or guage) with a modern replacement unit, the other must also be changed or you will get what you have (operating in reverse)

or, you have one of those new miracle fuel enhancer magnets that go on the fuel line - so you gain fuel as you go. Better/cheaper than ethanol!
