1981 f-32 battery

Post by fpawn1 »

Have a 1981 f-32 with 2 318 engines. The boat has 2 batteries with original switching box--one bat for each engine. Do others have more batteries? Howdo you wire it? Boat is on a mooring.

I have 3 batteries. One for each engine, one which runs the genny and is used as a house battery. Each battery serves one engine with a cross-over or emergency start too. I have various leads from each battery powering different accessories... or the panel.

Each battery is wired to the onboard charger.

I have 5 batts and no gen. 1 giant cranking batt for BOTH engine and 4 6V, 2 banks for 12V ea for house. Two switches so all are combinable.....We don't do more than 2-3 nights on the hook so the 4-6's are more then adequate..........no AC so good to go.............John
