F32 Wiring.
Hello,
I've been discussing my project boat and had great responses, but feel I should be more detailed in my subjects to help others.
I'm going to attack the wiring next. My boat has been disused and poorly serviced for the previous 3 - 5 years before my recent purchase.
I tried to get the running lights going and having some trouble. I get the white running light working and the anchor light from the switch but seems like poor power to the bow. My port and SB lights don't come on. I tried changing the bulbs and cleaning the connections, no such luck. My windlass also does not respond to the switch. The cabin lights work in the bow, so I know there is power going that way, but may have a short or broken wire. Any suggestion as to where to look before I start pulling panels out.
I'm also not getting power to the trim tabs. Not experienced in working these so don't even know where to start. I saw on a purchase manual that there is a fuse behind the switch, don't want to start pulling and tugging on wires until I have a fairly good Idea of how to trouble shot.
All recommendations accepted. I will start in a few days.
Thanx.

Keep in mind, especially with a boat out of commission as long as yours has been, poor connections, dirty/poor grounds will make up the majority of your issues.
Do you have a wiring diagram? That's a good start. Then you can start checking power and grounds, voltage drops, etc with a multi-meter. You need a understanding of how the system is set-up and it's power and ground locations.
I can fax you my diagrams but they will most likely be different than your year. I think Ross may have what you need?

Okay, I'll fax them over. At least you'll know the layout although your breakers and switches will differ.

Good morning - I see you al found my 1972 wiring diagrams.
Does anyone else have ANY wiring diagrams for other years?
It would be GREAT to post them here. Perhaps another sticky at the top for Wiring Diagrams? I'll be glad to host the files, and manage the sticky.
