cleaned /painted bilge pictures

Post by Freddy »

when I removed the cabin floor(screwed down plywood with carpet cut to fit on top) a filthy mess was uncovered. I washed the bilge repeatedly with simple green and hot water. Then after letting it dry for a week or so, I applied two coats of bluewater marine alkyd 50 super white.

quick tip! you can take a brush and hit the contaminated spots with a brush after its dry, not a problem. they just didnt like your first coats. If you have to. Take thinner on a wet rag and wipe them. Be small, then just touch up, and your good! :D looks great man!

Hi Freddy, to be honest: the whole filthy bilge with all that oil penetrated hull:

I have not seen any pictures before you have cleaned this area (and how it was made).

If you are going to sell your boat - may be. To keep her 20 more years

Can you not read and understand that he lives in Germany and does not understand many of our common slang expressions. If he is like many folks who do not have a good command of our language, he is using a dictionary to move from his German words to our English words and many times that comes out very strangely. Cut him some slack please.
