I work for a floor covering distributor.....we don't have the pergo line but a number of similar products. We have a product called Konecto that looks and works great in our bathroom's at home. I really want to give it a try on this boat, but the wife's really got a thing for the actual teak and holly and you know that goes....

Hey Will, maybe you could get some of us, floor kits to install and evaluate for the company and give them feed back...may open up a whole new gig for the company!
If I could get teak and holly in Pergo, I'd be doing it all over again real soon!

I'm sure they'll donate enough for everyone....hahaha When I lived aboard my houseboat...we did the floors with Bruce engineered hardwood plank. Eight years later and it looked as good as new.

hi guys, i saw a company on a home DIY show a few weeks ago that specializes in counter top refits that actually go over your old ones. this cuts down on work, and keeps stuff out of landfills. they have several locations in the usa, and all the products are usa made. i contacted them and got a response from the maryland outlet, and they are doing some work on a boat in my marina and i want them to take a look at mine. lisa said they do a lot of galley refits on boats and the products are proven for marine use. here is the website (
http://www.granitetransformations.com) so you can take a look at what they do.
in the 'products' section, click on TRENDSTONE. if you are in maryland, contact lisa directly at the following number.....443-501-3542. and, as always, if any of you are looking to uninstall that 3 burner princess stove with oven, i am STILL looking for the broiler pans, oven racks and rotisserie assembly with spits. so save em for me if you please.
after you all take a look at the website, let me know what you think. all in all, i like the product, and if i can have this done, i will do it.

If the counter top is in good condition I would coat it with a 2 part epoxy paint.
